Disable Universal Plug and Play Services (Windows XP)
Windows XP includes support for Universal Plug and Play (UnPnP) which allows UnPnP devices to be connected over a network. There are currently limited UnPnP devices available and due to a recent security flaw it may be advisable to disable these services.

Show Detailed Information in Device Manager (Windows 2000/XP)
If you require additional information about a device that is not typically displayed in Device Manager, you can use this tweak to make Device Manager show detailed device information.

Remove the Eject Option from the Start Menu (Windows 2000)
This tweak allows you to remove the "Eject PC" option from the Windows 2000 Start menu.

Show All Hidden Devices in Device Manager (Windows 2000/XP)
Devices that are installed but are not currently connected to the computer (such as a Universal Serial Bus (USB) device or "ghosted" devices) are not normally displayed in Device Manager. This tweak causes all devices to be shown.

Disable PC Card Removal Warnings (All Windows)
This setting can be used to disable the PC Card warning messages shown when a PCMCIA device is removed from the socket without first being stopped.

If you get annoyed by the beeps and noises coming from your PC speaker but can't find a way to turn it off, then use this tip to disable it.
